But who/what deploys it, management, fire alarm, tenant, burglar?
ReplyDeleteLooks also like there are a lot of moving parts that need to work in sequence, and as any engineer will tell you, the more complicated a mechanism is, the more possibilities there are for failure. Why do you think one of the first things anyone in engineering learns is to KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid)?
ReplyDeleteAnd then, of course, all these moving parts are exposed to the elements. What would prevent something like this from rusting in place over time so that it would be non-functional if and when it should be needed?
