Timber's Story

Timber didn't get adopted from the shelter because she has a neurological condition, and that just made it easier for people to look at the next dog instead. The video doesn't say, but it looks like cerebellar hypoplasia, which causes balance problems but is usually neither painful nor fatal. Timber was at the shelter so long that she was scheduled to be euthanized. Diane Ewert from FART (Foster, Adopt, Rescue, and Transport) took Timber out of the shelter just in time. Yes, the name of the rescue organization is FART. Really, you should check out FART's webpage. You'll get a warning.

This website contains FART content and is only available to hoomans who dont mind reading through ridiculous FART puns.
Anyway, among many other people, Christina and Garret applied to adopt Timber. They lived in Canada, a long way from California. But they had already adopted several special needs pets, so they were the perfect match. Internet publicity goes a long way!
