I've always despised Brussels Sprouts until about 10-12 years ago when I first had oven roasted ones in a buttery sauce -- what a revelation! So delicious! Who knew?

ReplyDeleteMy wife grew up hating most vegetables because her mom boiled them until they were mush, like baby food.
"Oven roasted in a buttery sauce", hell's bells, shoe leather, lawn clippings, a newspaper, taste good in a buttery sauce. LoL
ReplyDeleteMy mother boiled the hell out of all veggies, then salt and maybe a pat of butter on a whole bowl of these ghosts of flavor past.
