Penguins Are Picky Eaters

To deal with inflated prices, an aquarium in Japan is gradually cutting back on the quality of food for their animals. Some of the residents are having none of it. Hakone-en Aquarium, in the Kanagawa prefecture, switched out 10% of the usual fatty aji, also known as Japanese horse mackerel, for the cheaper saba to feed the penguins, seals, and otters in May. They had planned to use the cheaper fish at 30-40% by July. However, the penguins know the difference, and some have refused to each the less expensive fish. They aren't shy about showing their displeasure, either! (via Fark)
