Tom Scott is at the Wasserspiele of Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, a 590-acre park in Germany. It has spectacular water features, which were built privately by various wealthy former landowners. Now, you may agree or disagree that rich people should build such ostentatious displays of conspicuous consumption, but if they did, they should be enjoyable by the public. What's interesting is the technology that made these fountains work merely by gravity, for more than 300 years now.
