I'm not on the list. OMG, that puts me in the same category as Rand Paul, Moscow Mitch McConnell, and Trump. I wonder if I can sue Putin? Naw, the supreme court would be on his side.
Unfortunately, I don't there is any way we can block Putin from coming to the US, thanks to Russia's membership in the United Nations. Even though though the United Nations Headquarters building is in NYC, the land it occupies (as well as the spaces of buildings that it rents) are under the sole administration of the United Nations and not the U.S. government. They are technically extraterritorial, i.e., not a part of the United States, through a treaty agreement with the U.S. government – and in order to get there, he has be allowed to come into the country.
We could, I suppose, restrict him (or any other personas non grata that still would have a legitimate reason to be at the UN headquarters) to nothing but landing at JFK and the most direct route to the UN building (and maybe the Russian embassy).
It has been noted that every single public official sanctioned by Russia is a Democrat. Not one single Re-pub made the list. That tells you who Putin's friends are.
DWVR, according to the Post article, Marjorie Taylor Green, Matt Gaetz, Paul A. Gosar, Paul Gosar, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Orrin G. Hatch, and Mike Pompeo are on the list. John McCain, too, even though he's dead.
Bicycle Bill, since the UN Headquarters is right on the East River, how about we instead allow Putin to come in a ship up to the 12 nautical mile territorial limit, then require him and support staff to row from there to UN HQ in a rubber dinghy?
