The Real Life Version

  1. "The very best generations?" One thing I've noted about getting older is that after a lifetime of gathering information about current events, trends, technology, fashion, music and so many other things, suddenly 95% of it has become irrelevant. But I'm still carrying it all around.

  2. Irrelevant to everyone else perhaps, but
not to me. Or maybe even the readers of
    this blog. . . .

  3. I'd rather watch Wiley than watch any of the senseless rubbish they call entertainment on TV.

  4. Whenever I see a post with "only the best generations will get this" (or similar), I'm consumed by irrational rage.

  5. Chuck Jones cartoons ... still on, still funny.

"modern" cartoons like Ren & Stimpy, Cow & Chicken, and anything else that was specifically made for Cartoon Network (yes, even Rugrats) ... as irrelevant as a hand-crank on a car (and almost as hard to find any more).

In a way, I feel sorry for you, Anonymous.  But eventually, you'll learn.

  6. I'm not sure which of the three living generations of my family would NOT get this. Turning a nostalgia trip into a generation war seems dumb to me.

    Also, roadrunners are darn cute.

  7. To me, the weirdest thing about those cartoons is that coyotes don't actually chase roadrunners, but they run fast enough to catch them if they wanted to.
