  2. Interesting. A proposed bill in Texas (TX HB952, 2019) requiring changing stations in new or renovated restrooms is still "pending in committee" in the Texas legislature. I could not find any legislation banning these changing stations. The cities of Dallas, San Antonio and Austin have enacted laws that require diaper changing stations in both men’s and women’s rooms in new restaurants, and newly renovated restaurants. Of course, all publicly accessible federal buildings, airports, train stations, etc. are mandated to have them. Only 11 states have state-wide changing station mandates, as most states leave it to city/county legislation. Nationwide, many restaurants have removed them in recent years due to liability issues.

For me personally, those things terrified me on the very rare occasions when I used them. A squirmy baby on a slippery plastic surface with a messy diaper seemed a recipe for disaster. And injuries are not uncommon. There are 3,000 to 5,000 emergency room visits each year resulting from falls from changing tables and stations.

  3. Just to respond to Anonymous (why is he or she scared of using their name ? -makes you wonder) ... anyhow, the trick for safety is to not bother dealing with the disgusting, filthy nappie (diaper in your so called English) just slam the contraption shut as soon as possible and 'viola'- that's French - get your cat.
The cat may slip off the plastic tray, but you know full well that it is going to land four paws down, head and tails up.
There may be a problem if you are in a restaurant, for, as you leave, most people will want to comment on your cat and probably also ask to pet him or her.
You didn't get that coming in with your screaming shitty baby, did you.
    Your life has already improved.

  4. I was going to state Anonymous is a woman because of the 'when I used them' comment, but that would have been sexist and if there is one thing I am not, it is sexist.
So don't get your tits in a tangle.
