  1. Ha. I remember the days when fridges used to have the fridge part on the bottom.
That's one 'days gone by' appliance I would hate now that I have become acquainted with 'the new fifty' back pain.

  2. Small point of interest; I have had my fridge on a 280mm plinth since 2004, simply because I am 1.84m tall and do not like reaching to the ground nearly for some frozen peas.
Fisher & Paykel Iridium, cost $NZ1950 in 2003, just over $2 a week, plus power.
If it ever breaks down, would I buy the same brand, you ask ? Yes, 100% so.

  3. And just to bore you all some more ... Fisher & Paykel also made my washing machine, & dryer. The washing machine was also bought in 2003 (I had built a new house and had some borrowing left) As was the dryer but that blew a bearing in 2019 and started squeaking as in the movie Deliverance and the cost of having someone fix it was about half of a new one, so... we'll see how long the new one lasts.
