The 126-year Fight to Change Mississippi’s Confederate Flag



States didn't have their own flags, for them most part, until the late 19th-century. Even though the Civil War had been over for decades, Mississippi still went for the Confederate battle flag when designing their state flag. It took until 2020 for the flag to be redesigned.
