The Maternal Instinct

When you're handed a newborn baby, you do what you gotta do. This mother cat may have considered the puppy to be ugly, but he's a helpless child, so you feed him and shelter him. And it goes the other way, too. Here's a mother dog taking in foster kittens, all on her own volition.



It works for humans, too. There's no feeling on earth like being needed by a child.
