In the 1950s and '60s, the Volkswagen Beetle sold like hotcakes. It was so cheap, simple to repair, and fuel efficient that people didn't care that it was developed by Nazis. Not that the company ever promoted that fact. Donut Media playfully tells us the story of the Beetle, or Bug, from Hitler to the newer turbo models. It's only nine minutes; the last three minutes of this video is an ad. (via Boing Boing)
I am fickle. I have a rule that I won't watch anything on the internet over 2 minutes But obviously exceptions have to be made, which is where the fickle comes in I have a love of cars, I mean, who doesn't ?, so I wanted to watch this but then you said 9 minutes and i thought '9 minutes, I can use the loo and have a shower AND untangle my hair in that time' but then I saw where you said the last 3 minutes were advert, so obviously I would only get halfway through my shower (for local colour -I'm in NZ - it dropped down to 0 degrees outside last night, the bunnies water dishes froze to about 15mm, and inside the fire petered out about 3 am, so no warm toasty feelings in here right now .... oh, if you're stuck in the past or live in the USA, 0 degrees is about ... well, here's the thing, 0 degrees is actually freezing point, whereas 100 degrees is boiling point... but in F degrees ??? IDK maybe 32 cold , 18 ? a million ?, jeepers it's nearly 2020, everything else about you Americans is decimal) (lol) .... where was I ? Oh, yeah, so thanks for stating the times of the video.
