Goldfish should live around 15 years with proper care. The problem is that people who keep fish in their homes don't know how to provide optimum conditions for a pet fish. Science Insider has some tips on how to care for goldfish so that they will live a long and healthy life.
Thanks, nice info. I have kept outdoor goldfish for a lot of years, this is some great info. Helps to have a pump to move the water around and aerate it. Mine always frolic in the foam from the hose when I change water.
Yeah, I had outdoor goldfish for quite some time. They had a lot of room and lived quite a long time, despite the fact that I bought them at the bait shop.
