... Tattoos are pretty much forever, unlike fashion trends and your personal taste. Getting a tattoo is akin to dying your hair pink and orange PERMANENTLY with no going back except for painful surgery.
When I was 15 some friends and I were walking drunk on the streets of Wellington. We went into a tattoo shop with the last of our money. Time it came to my turn I'd sobered up. I'm the only one of us with no regerts.
Having tattoos is more like having your teeth sharpened or those that modify their ear lobe so they can put a coat button or big eyelet in it. Tattoos can be mostly and painfully removed in a time consuming and a bit more expensive process.
A tat is where you were at the time. Why regret it, if you don't like it change it by incorporating or covering with a better piece. Regret chickening out. xoxoxoBruce
Someone should make a massive PSA ...

It is nothing at all like dying your hair. Hair grows out. Dye fades out. And dying your hair doesn't hurt.
