David Bowie Tells It Like It Is

Minute by minute, we are finding out how David Bowie was even more of an awesome person than you knew. MTV resisted playing music videos by black artists in the first few years after it launched in 1981. That may seem weird now, but that’s the way it was -and believe me, it was even weird then. Bowie called them out for it in this interview with veejay Mark Goodman in 1983. Yep, he understands your point of view- that doesn’t make it valid.
