Star Wars is probably the most far-reaching cultural touchstone we have today, linking millions, possibly billions of people together across language barriers and generations. But there are still a few people who have never seen any of the movies or read any of the books and comics, or paid much attention on the internet. Every once in a while, one of them will sit down and take in all the movies and write a viral blog post or even a series about the experience.
In a sketch by Dad Dudes, one guy has never seen Star Wars. Therefore, he has no clue as to its importance to the rest of his circle. He just assumed it was a movie about robots, telekinesis, and guys running around in their pajamas waving their weird flashlights. For die-hard fans, those are fightin’ words. Keep in mind, this video was produced before The Force Awakens. (via Tastefully Offensive)
It's hard to imagine that there really are people out there who never saw any of the Star Wars movies. I have a friend who has never seen them, but she is the only person I know in that sad position. It is part of the culture. Of course, the three so-called prequels are garbage.
ReplyDeleteis another one coming out? half the memes everywhere are about start wars
ReplyDeleteThat's just for today, Bill. It's Star Wars Day.
ReplyDeleteThere were 3(three) Star Wars movies #4 A New Hope, #5 The Empire Strikes Back, #6 Return of the Jedi. Everything else is distorted echos that don't measure up.

Anonymous, that is not quite correct. When #4 was about to come out, George Lucas mentioned that there will be 9 movies and the one coming out, Star Wars (then Star Wars: a New Hope) was the 4th one.
ReplyDeleteMy wife has only seen two of the movies--but she has played the LEGO games based on all the movies with our son.
