A Good Man

When you hear that StoryCorps music start, you know you’re gonna tear up inside a little. Or maybe a lot. Their latest animation is the story of Bryan Wilmouth and his brother Mike who reconnected after Bryan was thrown out of the house for being gay. And it wasn’t just the two of them -Bryan was the oldest of eight siblings.

Now celebrating its tenth anniversary, StoryCorps is an oral history project that has archived more than 50,000 interviews from 80,000 participants so far. They are shared and also preserved at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress. StoryCorps is a non-profit organization that produces segments for NPR’s Morning Edition, and some are  animated by the Rausch Brothers. But StoryCorps is not funded by NPR. You can make a donation here.
