Walking Contest

People who live in large cities make up for the lack of space and privacy by developing a sense of virtual privacy. While it may seem unfriendly to outsiders, it is good manners to not look at people you pass so closely on the street. It supports the pretense of personal space when there is no actual space.

Daniel Koren’s latest video pierces that sense of virtual privacy by walking alongside a stranger. It’s a game to him, a weird little walking contest in his mind, but to the other person, it’s just plain weird. (Thanks, Daniel!)
