Belka Learns to Howl

YouTube member patkandiurin posted this video of Belka, a 20-day-old Malamute-husky mix learning to howl, with lessons from her son. That's adorable -and interesting enough on its own, but read her comment!
Belka means "Squirrel" in Russian...my husband named her that for the colour of her coat...her mom's name is Laika, which means "Barker" in Russian and was one of the first animals sent into space by the Russians.  Laika is actually a very quiet dog and usually only barks when a Polar Bear is near our yard, as we live in Churchill Manitoba...Polar Bear Capital of the world :)
As if a polar bear in the yard is a normal everyday occurrence. Maybe for her, but the rest of us are impressed! See another video of Belka here. (via Viral Viral Videos)
