I showed you National Geographic's experience with taking pictures of lions with a remote-control robot camera. This is a different story, in a different country, in which we get to see what goes on behind the scenes. Photographer Chris McLennan and engineer Carl Hansen fashioned a robot camera to take close up photographs of lions in Botswana. The lions acted just as your house cats do when confronted by a novel toy moving seemingly on its own. The video was shot from a safe distance, but did they get the close up pictures they wanted? You betcha! (via Daily Picks and Flicks)
