Today is Election Day 2007! So much publicity has focused on the 2008 presidential race, you may think that today doesn’t matter. Of course it does! Here in Kentucky, we are choosing a
governor. Mississippi is, too. Several big city mayors are on the line. But the local elections and ballot initiatives count, too. The smaller races decide who the state and national politicians of tomorrow will be. AND... if you go a few years without voting, your registration will lapse. You don’t want that to happen.
I voted already. And I volunteered to be a poll worker for the next cycle. Since I’m not punching a clock, I can do it. They always need more volunteers.
