The popping is like a short, staccato crinkling noise; the rumbling is lower and I can do it continuously (without gaps) for a couple of seconds until it's too annoying.anonymous Cnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15663150.post-85658016786600347572021-04-26T05:16:43.693-04:002021-04-26T05:16:43.693-04:00Okay, I think what y'all are talking about is ...Okay, I think what y'all are talking about is popping one's ears. Since I live in mountain country, I can certainly do that. I had to teach my kids to do it when changing altitude. It just never occurred to me to do it for any other reason than to adjust pressure! I had never actually read about it or knew that anyone else could do this, much less control it. It makes me feel better about my ears.newtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17675154709724123320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15663150.post-5082218489989271232021-04-25T23:42:19.931-04:002021-04-25T23:42:19.931-04:00I can do it. When I was a kid I could only do it with my eyes clenched tight, but later figured out how to do it with my eyes open.

Apparently some people can do it with a "click" or "pop" that regulates pressure. It doesn't do that for me though, just the rumbling, wooshy sound.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15663150.post-26600994019671294492021-04-25T23:34:50.088-04:002021-04-25T23:34:50.088-04:00Can confirm, it's real! I remember as a kid asking my brother if he could hear it when I made the "noise" (nope).anonymous Cnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15663150.post-53990697705436275822021-04-25T22:54:01.604-04:002021-04-25T22:54:01.604-04:00I do this. When I was a child I wondered if other people could hear me make that sound and it kind of worried me.Heather Moenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14946804121906484758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15663150.post-18877425079327581192021-04-25T19:36:55.344-04:002021-04-25T19:36:55.344-04:00Or something just made up for the comic.Or something just made up for the comic.xoxoxoBrucehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04512934465987061068noreply@blogger.com
