  1. The bomb on the hill, with the burning fuse, is that to symbolise the upcoming breakaway from the United Kingdom that Scotland, and Wales and Northern Ireland, are planning ?

    1. Dan Pirarro has a whole set of symbols he puts in his comics, like the eyeballs, a slice of pie, and the dynamite. They all have meaning, but I forgot them.

    2. Bizarro has been a daily stop for me for many years. From their Wikipedia page:

Most Bizarro cartoons since 1995 include one or more of these elements hidden somewhere in the cartoon:

an eyeball (the Eyeball of Observation)

a piece of pie (the Pie of Opportunity),

a rabbit (the Bunny of Exuberance),

an alien in a spaceship (the Flying Saucer of Possibility),

the abbreviation "K2" (referring to Piraro's children Kaitlin and Killian),

a crown (the Crown of Power),

a stick of dynamite (the Dynamite of Unintended Consequences),

      a shoe (the Lost Loafer),

an arrow (The Arrow of Vulnerability),

a fish tail (The Fish of Humility)

an upside down bird (the Inverted Bird)

Olive Oyl, or the abbreviation "O2" (the Mighty Oyl) (first occurrences in May 2017)

There are 4 in the cartoon above.

    3. Oops, that was me. My all time favorite Bizarro:

Superman's parents placing him a spaceship on Krypton: Born on a dying planet.

Sent to Earth so that he may survive.

Clark Kent reading a Daily Planet article titled Climate Change.

      Trapped on a dying planet.

      Clark: Not again!
