Laying in bed this morning, it's that time of year, and I am being cuddled up by a carnivorous, ginger furred animal.
I had time to reflect on the wonderment of the situation ... a meat eating, other animal killing, fang toothed, razor clawed, warm blooded animal of a totally different species to me, in my bed right beside me, making guttural noises that indicate that it, he, loves me.
Obviously I love him, I have spent many pieces of useful money on his care and health, and put up with his inbuilt desire to mark the house and garden as his and his alone, but I wonder if he knows how happy he makes me, just by his being here.
If only there was some way to know how big he is ... I mean, comparatively.

I am such a soft touch.
