Lyrics

Something came up in conversation just a few days ago, and I explained that I can't be expected to remember something for a whole week because my brain is full and I can't find room for more. The problem is that what's stored in there is 95% song lyrics. (Thanks, WTM!)

  2. Why did I walk into the kitchen? Well, with a word I can get what I came for.

  3. Yikes! The 80s? I woke up this morning with an earworm from 1966, Herman's Hermits and have been dealing with it all day. Haven't a clue where it came from, but I'm not making this up.

    I'm leaning on the lamp
Maybe you think I look a tramp
Or maybe you think I'm 'round to steal your car
But no, I'm not a crook
And if you think that's what I look
I'll tell you why and what my motives are

I'm leaning on the lamp post at the corner of the street
In case a certain little lady comes by
    Oh me, oh my
I hope that little lady comes by

She's absolutely wonderful and marvellous and beautiful
    Anyone can understand why
I'm leaning on the lamp post at the corner of the street
In case a certain little lady comes by

I looked up the lyrics. I had heart substituted for car and added fabulous after beautiful, but otherwise nailed it.

    1. That's pretty cool, I was able to hear the tune as I read.

  5. Same, same, but with the songs from the 70s
    And the 60s

    Sighs in old
