Science Fair

Negative findings still advance our total knowledge, but don't go viral or even make a splash in the journals. Therefore, we non-scientists rarely hear about them. That's why it's important to support our children's science experiments even when the results aren't at all sexy. This comic is from Nathan Pyle's Strange Planet.

As a science fair judge, I am heartened by students replicating classic experiments and proving they are wrong. Innumerable science myths are no better than old-wives-tales.
