The Tell-Tale Heart Cake

Alasdair Martin's mother, who has been baking fanciful cakes for 45 years, made this cake for her office's Valentines Day party. It's a reference to the Edgar Allen Poe tale. The Jell-O heart has a pump inside, and the writing on the book was made with an icing printer. The sound comes from a separate source. While we are impressed, only time will tell if anyone has the guts to cut and eat it. (via reddit)

The pump might give me indigestion, though.

If I cut that cake I'd have to stab the heart first, it's the humane thing to do.
