Politics

The impeachment trial in the Senate begins today. Could this be the beginning of the end of our long national nightmare? Don't bet on it. However, this comic from Jeff Lovfers at Don't Hit Save illustrates some of the trouble I've been having as a blogger. I've been doing this for almost 15 years now, but in the last three years, everyone seems to have lost their sense of humor. It's a vague depression that's caused the most creative folks to turn from humor to desperation, caused webcomic artists to stop posting, and overall made the silly stuff that kept us on the internet grow rarer and rarer every day. Making a funny video just seems pointless when trolls are multiplying, corporations are buying up websites, the planet is on fire, and our democracy is dying. Cats, however, are still as cute as ever.

Excellent description of the state of the union and of the net. A world in limbo telling itself this too shall pass. Thank your chosen deity Miss C is still here every day to remind us what the net can be, and reassure us not all is lost. Thank you Miss C.
