Winter ? I've been building a deck in 30 degree heat (that's Celsius .. about 86 old fashioned)and had to give up because I was going to become like bacon. And this heat has nothing to do with White Island erupting 2 days ago (3 days if you are behind the date line) Winter ? It is coming, but not for another 4 or more months, the summer solstice is 11 days away.
2 degrees above zero (that's a negative 17 on the Celsius scale) when I got up to go to work this morning here on the northern side of the Equator. It's days like this that make it easier to understand why some people are skeptical about global warming.
