A group of about a dozen friends went on a leisurely bike ride of four miles, ending at a familiar cafe. Along the way, they broke through white tape strung across a footbridge. And that's when Russ Mantle became the first person from the UK to log a million miles on a bicycle.

Please Don't Spoil The Obvious Twist In Last Christmas. The only spoiler in the article is that's there's a twist in the movie.

The Grim Story of the Mackay-Bennett, the Titanic's Mortuary Ship. (via Strange Company)

"You’ve got that eternal idiotic idea that if anarchy came it would come from the poor. Why should it? The poor have been rebels, but they have never been anarchists; they have more interest than anyone else in there being some decent government. The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn’t; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all. Aristocrats were always anarchists, as you can see from the barons’ wars." I'm going to have to read some G.K. Chesterton.

Don't Forget Your Jacket. (via Everlasting Blort)

A blast from the past (2013): 9 Hanukkah-Thanksgiving Fusion Dishes. The two holidays won't overlap again in your lifetime, but you might want to try some of these recipes anyway.

If the intent to be spoiler free for "Last Christmas" was to link to a review on a completely different movie, mission accomplished.

If the intent was to actually link to a review of "Last Christmas", then you will need to fix the link :)

I dunno about Last Christmas. He can't actually give
her his heart - that would kill him. Guess I'll have
to see the movie. Is it really longer than the trailer?

I have not seen it. I make it to the theater about once a year, and this year is a Star Wars year.
