Whatever Works

That kid is going to be one messed up adult, but at least he took his medicine. This comic is from Puddlemunch.

Sadly, the ice cream WAS probably poisoned with HFCS, one of the deadliest food additives ever made. Texas's overrated Blue Bell Ice Cream uses HFCS exclusively and will not listen to any words of complaint about it. So we have voted with our feet and no longer buy or eat Blue Bell. HEB grocery's 1905 vanilla is superior anyway, and made with real sugar. Nationally, the Adams brand of vanilla ice cream (the same Adams as makes vanilla extract) also does not use HFCS and is also superior to anything Blue Bell offers.

Remember, kids; if Blue Bell's listeria doesn't get you, their HFCS will.

Fructose — which is the 'F' in HFCS (high fructose corn syrup), glucose, sucrose, lactose, and dextrose are all "real" sugars.  Saccharin, acesulfame, aspartame, neotame, and sucralose, along with the discredited and banned substance sodium cyclamate, are all examples of "fake" sugars.

I'd worry more about consuming anything from the latter group before I'd worry about any one of the former — HFCS included.
