Vegan Pain au Chocolat

Princess is working her way through school as a cook and baker. Click to the right to get a closeup of the vegan pain au chocolat. Maybe she'll bring some home this weekend- the raspberry tarts she brought a few weeks ago were to die for!

When she comes home it's good for your heart but bad for your waistline. ;o)
After all those stories of parents bribing colleges, it warms my heart to see a parent and kid doing it right, earning, learning, taking care of each other. Thank you.

As a vegan, I approve this decision!

I'm not sure what kind of roll that is, but the texture looks amazing!

She's learning from some good folks, the layering looks very very good on that croissant. I'm lucky to live in a city that has a few bakeries that have that kind of work to their goods. Bakery/pastry chef can be very profitable and even the mistakes are delicious for the willing. Good luck to her and her hard work, and enjoy what she brings home! Thanks to both of you

But can she do cornbread, cherry pie, and baking-powder biscuits? Them's important thangs in Kentucky.

Yes, she can! And has been making those things since she was a child.
