I'm not on the Facebook, but I am on LinkedIn. As I read the
article, I decided you could just substitute "LinkedIn" for
every appearance of "Facebook" without changing the overall
context at all. The world we live in. . .

I followed all the instructions for deleting my Linked In account years ago, but I still get mail from people wanting to connect with me, for no discernible reason.

Back to Facebook for minute. Last year we were directed to
install WhatsApp to better communicate with our European
colleagues. Before installing it, I too a look at their
Privacy Policy and discovered this gem:

Address Book. You provide us the phone numbers of
WhatsApp users and your other contacts in your mobile
phone address book on a regular basis. You confirm you
are authorized to provide us such numbers to allow us
to provide our Services.

I nearly burst a blood vessel. Pointed this out to our
security folks and refused to install it. Never heard
anything back.

Did I mention the Facebook owns WhatsApp?
