I was against vaccinations until I had my own kids, the risk outweighed the possible side effects. MenB became available here for kids born after 1st May 2015, my nearly-two year old was born just 9 days after the cut-off :)
When I was a little kid, I got vaccinations every time I went to the doctor. So when Mom said we were going to the doctor, I cried "I don't want a shot!" Dad squatted down and looked me in the eye. "Don't worry about shots. What you're getting today is a vaccination." So I was happy, and told others I was going to get a bassination instead of a shot. That only worked once.
My kids got way more vaccines than I did, but they were braver about it. I recently found that shots are not as painful now, because they use disposable needles that don't get dull with re-use.
