I'm sorry this has to be anonymous but I am not a member of any social media sites. Your site is funny and I did enjoy it, Why did you have to go political? Now you are like every other whiny crybaby out there. You lost, move on.

Miss Cellania said...

This site has always been political, but things were going well for about eight years. Progressives lost the presidential election, so we are moving on to try to mitigate the damage to our nation.

mitigating damage by engaging in arson & assault & various acts of violence & destruction of property...

and on what planet were things going well for 8 years?

I haven't done any of those things. And things were never perfect, i.e. Obama was denied his right as a president to name a successor to Alito, couldn't get a public health care option through Congress, faced opposition to everything he did, even to the point of shutting the government down and costing us tons of money in the process, but at least I got health insurance for the first time in ten years. Bin Laden was found. And there was some other progress. http://washingtonmonthly.com/magazine/marchapril-2012/obamas-top-50-accomplishments/

nonsense
he named a nominee, thats all he was a 'right' to do.
why are you opposed to paying for your own healthcare?
your top 50 points of progress are either complete falsehoods or blatant propaganda

and the violence is all the mitigating youve got

Have you ever noticed that when you start making sense, the trolls disappear? Concerning the magazine cover, it means a lot that the Germans are worried about potential American fascism.

I have always paid for my own health care, every penny, even when it took years to do so. Or actually, my family members' health care, because I never go to the doctor. I cannot afford health insurance without subsidies. Health insurance, and health care, in the US is way more expensive than it should be, and there are tons of people who are paid too little to afford either insurance or hospital bills.

Jim, Anon's last comment got flagged as spam for some reason, so I manually published it.

OK. I was hoping it was gone. Keep on keeping on.

paid too little? you mean work too little to pay for their own care.
and now you brag that the rest of us are buying yours. youre welcome. now back to your mitigating molotov cocktails

I see, you're one of those conservatives that think poor people deserve to be poor.

They made the wrong decision in being born to poor parents, or being below average in intelligence (which is half of us), or had some setback along the way, or their skills become obsolete, or they aged out of physical labor, or some other poor decision that means they don't deserve a decent life.

Go ahead and worship the rich people who are screwing you and everyone else.

Barbwire said...

And we can thank the person who is too pusilanimous to name himself/herself and those of kindred spirit for the mess we're in now.

Anonymous said...

they certainly dont deserve to be rich do they? oh,wait, everyone should have exactly the same, right?
too many examples to mention of individuals of moderate means or poor parents who have gone on to varying degrees of great & good success.
but once theyre successful you want their money & smash their windows.

Anonymous said...

which mess would that be barb?

Miss Cellania said...

I didn't say rich. I said a decent life. And I never said everyone should have the same. And for every Horatio Alger story, there are many more people who were crushed under the heel of unrestrained capitalism.

nooo...that's be communism. you commies are way ahead on this count (this is where you say they just didnt do it right- you will)
the free market on the other hand has lifted millions up. everywhere.
and the poor in the US certainly do enjoy a decent life. compared to conditions in the rest of the world, conditions that you wish to import here. So some deserve more decenct lives than others--not the same, as you said.

oh and I, nor society nor the government owe anything to people with obsolete skills.
