Back in the day, at my high school, one of the standard items on the lunch menu (at least once a week) was a brown gravy with bits of mystery meat ladeled over a couple ice-cream scoop of mashed potatoes. I can't remember what they called it officially, but it was known by one and all as "Gravy Train".
